People loved the product but...
what stood between Bisous and its next chapter was simple and terrifying. Someone had to take the leap.
At the time, Jonas was running operations at New York-based mobility company Revel Transit, overseeing hundreds of employees and thousands of electric vehicles across five major U.S. cities. On paper, it was the kind of career people spend years chasing.
But the sunglasses kept growing.
Jonas’ manager at the time — let’s call her “A” — had watched Bisous evolve. She had purchased a pair herself and once described the experience of putting them on for the first time as “transcendental.”
One day, during a conference call about EV charging operations, she asked a simple question:
“Do you want to be doing this?”
“Nope,” Jonas replied.
“Sunglasses?”
“Yep. It’s time.”
That moment became a turning point for the company. Jonas and Jimmy parted ways, and Jonas set out, like a lone wolf, into the night.
